Our story
We met by chance at the apres ski bar, Le Chamois (lovingly called the Chammy), at Palisades Tahoe. Maddie and her friends were playing Pass the Pigs; Garrett and his friends were shocked to see another group playing this niche game, much less a group of cute girls! Over the next handful of months, our friendship grew.
Fast forward to Maddie’s 27th birthday party, when Garrett showed up solo (and Maddie had been waiting not-so-patiently for his arrival). We went on our first date to watch the cloud inversion sunset on Mt. Tam a few days later, and the rest is history! From big outdoor adventures to dinners at home with friends, we’ve been soaking up every precious moment of this life we are building together in San Francisco.
Garrett proposed in Telluride, Colorado, one of Maddie’s favorite places on earth, on a ranch overlooking the San Juan mountains. It was the best day of our lives, and we got to celebrate with a meal at cowboy camp followed by stargazing in a horse-drawn wagon. Our wedding will have to be pretty amazing to top that…

Where to stay
Brasada Ranch is a resort with an abundance of accommodations and activities. Our strong preference is to have as many of our guests as possible stay on site with us for that “adult summer camp” feeling!
